Transmission shifting issue. I'm having an intermittent problem problem with the automatic transmission shifting on my 2014 diesel Cruze. When the car is warmed up, and usually after a highway drive, I noticed it shifts oddly when decreasing speed as if it downshifts too soon. When I come to a stop and then accelerate it there is a slight lag 2016 Chevy Cruze Limited LT. My goal is to keep the car past 200K if possible. 109K Miles; No major shifting issues - just doesn't shift like brand new car; Some have told me that it will fail if I do my first fluid change this late. I talked to Car Shield today, told them all the details, and they actually recommended I do one during the The exact cost will vary depending on the severity of the leak and the mechanic you use. Typically, an oil leak repair for a $340 - $400 for parts and labor. If left unrepaired, oil leaks can lead to serious engine problems. The fact that you caught it early means you’ve likely avoided serious damage to your engine.
The compressor will drop out of the way, and take the obstructing a/c line with it. It it will give you plenty of wiggle room to remove the manifold. Remove the belt, disconnect the wire, and the compressor (On my Cruze) is held to the block by 3 bolts. One of the easiest thing on this car to remove, and replace.
Since the manual transmissions have a breather port, you'll have moisture accumulating over time as the transmission heats and cools. I would change it every 3 years or sooner, although you can usually tell when the shift quality starts to degrade. Long time lurker. I own a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel north of border. I've noticed the car a little sluggish in the past month. Last week, I had a roadside issue where the car wouldn't shift gears (high revving). I got it towed home. Looked under the vehicle and noticed on the plastic cover there was a lot of transmission fluid that was leaking. Thinking of getting an oil change to synthetic gear lube. Synthetic is strongly recommended in the Gen 1 forum, and this is the same transmission. Is this Amsoil lube the good stuff? And, it should be refilled with 2.5 quarts exactly? Amsoil's 'Manual Transmission & Transaxle Gear Lube 75W-90 . GL-4 ; Chrysler MS-9070 ; ZF TE-ML 02b, 17a The check procedure involves getting the trans fluid up to 185F, car level, running in Park, and the fluid check plug removed. If filled correctly, fluid will dribble out. If you don't have leaking cooler lines, your fluid level is probably OK. No dipstick, and not common since 5-speed ATs left market. The check procedure involves getting the

My cruze has 168k on factory tranny fluid and now the 2nd gear makes a whinning noise when slowing down then downshifting into 2nd gear as soon as you let the clutch out it starts to whine but stops as soon as the clutch is fully engaged should I go with this 5w-30 amsoil snycro or the amsoil 70w-90 fluid since mostly likely the whinning is the 2nd gear bearing wearing out

Typically, a transmission pan drop & fluid change only changes about half the fluid. The fresh fluid effectively cleans the transmission and releases particles of old build-up, which circulates throughout the transmission, leading to slipping gears, pressure drops, overheating, even complete failure. to, GM, the GM logo, CHEVROLET, the CHEVROLET Emblem, and Cruze are trademarks and/or service marks of General Motors LLC, its subsidiaries, affiliates, or licensors. Nope, almost 100% certain is you have a major transmission problem that is more than a fluid change can fix and you did one of two things: 1. Expected magic from a fluid change, or; 2. Are a scammer trying to get a payout. This method let the transmission do its own pumping to expel all the old fluid and replace with fresh fluid.
European power bleeder(use it on my VW) fits perfectly on Cruze. Remove ECU, it will take you less then a minute and will make this job so much easier. ( also useful when doing manual transmission oil change) Lastly, use metric sizes 17mm to counter hold and 11mm for the bleeder nut.

I would like to add that we have gotten GM to pay for the line during a turbo replacement, but not as a stand alone repair. Here is the old PI on the line, but it mainly pertains to restricted lines not to leaking lines.
Introducing new fluid gradually (30-50% at a time, with something like 3k miles between changes) can minimize or sidestep these effects completely. I've seen this referred to as the new fluid "shocking" transmission components. If the fluid is in reasonably good condition (red/brown, not black, not burnt-smelling), then just get a flush done.
